Brave New World.

Max is getting more and more skilled everyday with his gross and fine motor movement. Along with that comes some confidence. (that part, I am not so fond of.) Here is a quick glimpse. He is starting to throw things and then look for them. Emma always wants to speed up the process and help him out so we are trying to convince her that he needs to do things by himself. (I think he must have seen his cousin Bailey's climbing skills and wanted to try it out)

Emma in the driver seat.

Emma was happy to see that Max is big enough to ride in the smaller stroller so she could push him around. She had to learn that he is not quite ready for Mach3 speeds or pop-a-wheelies yet.

Scrub a dub dub...

Bath time gets a little silly sometimes.

Trick or Treat.

The cowgirl and lion enjoyed their halloween. Max handled a trip around the neighborhood pretty well. We met Lia (Emma's classmate who lives in our neighborhood) and her brother Luke for some trick or treating. The smaller pumpkin was one that Emma carved at school and the larger one is the one that her and Phil created.

Pumpkin carving.

Emma is not a big fan of digging the seeds out of the pumpkin but she did agree to help with sorting the seeds for baking.
Every year Phil tries to convince her to stick her hand in the pumpkin.

So she agreed to do it and this was the face we got. Happy Halloween!!

9 months.

Max had his 9 month well child check up and all went well. He is 22 pounds and 30 inches long. Since our weather has cooled off (for a few days), Max got the opportunity to stand at the screen door and gaze outside.

All by myself...

I helped Emma one day with her pigtails and then she surfaced from the bathroom wearing a variety of hair accessories. Shewas very proud of her choices. (you can never have too many multi colored bobbi pins, right?)
